The Versatility of Pastels Workshops at The Steel Rooms

Level: Beginners.

Tutor: Peter Wood

Workshop Date and Time:

A course of 4 weekly workshops. Wednesdays – 10am – 3pm.

The workshops run on Wednesday 1 November, Wednesday 8 November, Wednesday 15 November + Wednesday 22 November

Week 2 -Still Life. Blocking and Blending. Pastel paper. Wednesday 8 November 10am – 3pm

Cost:  £36 per session or £120 if all 4 parts booked together. Includes light refreshments + materials with the exception of week 1 where students will require their own set of watercolours, palettes and brushes and just brushes for the other weeks. A simple wash brush or mop and one small round will suffice.

About the Workshop:

A foundation and introduction to four completely different approaches to using soft pastels. Ideal for students of any ability to, either, gain a good foundation or expand their knowledge and skills.

Designed to help you gain confidence and enjoy this medium by approaching it in both the traditional and more unusual ways. We will also be painting four completely different scenes as part of this workshop series.

About Peter:

A fully qualified and experienced teacher in both the state and private sectors, a world artist demonstrating, making art teaching films, painting and teaching in many countries. He has written articles for Leisure painter, International artist, and the S.A.A., amongst others and has a huge following on his youtube channel.
