About the Session:

Join master printer Melvyn Petterson for a session where he will demonstrate those techniques that only come through vast practice and secret knowledge. Moving  through a series of techniques in varying print methods from drypoint to hard and soft ground etching, Melvyn will also let you into some of those little secrets for troubleshooting and excellence in printmaking .

He will also bring along lots of examples of prints and other works to inform and inspire.

Whether you are an experienced printmaker or just considering taking the plunge, this session is sure to send you home buzzing!

A bit about Melvyn:

Melvyn Petterson was born in Cleethorpes and studied at Grimsby School of Art and Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts.

His works have been widely exhibited in the UK and abroad, and he has many works in public and private collections, including the British Museum.  He is a full member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and has had several books published, the most recent being The Instant Printmaker by Collins & Brown.

Payment is non refundable unless we are able to fill your space. In the event of cancellation no less than 14 days prior to the workshop date the credit may be transferred. If The Steel Rooms cancels a workshop you will be entitled to a full refund or to transfer payment to another workshop. If a session which has been prepaid at the discounted rate is cancelled, the discounted rate will carry over to the next workshop.
