About this Workshop:
We all have the capacity to be creative. If you are interested in ideas to help you develop a daily creative habit this course is for you. It will help you to release your creative side, to experiment and be more playful using materials such as inks, pens crayons to discover new marks and textures and ways of using and seeing the ordinary things around you as inspiration to express who you are.
Switching on your creative side helps you to become more mindful and self-aware. It keeps you in the moment and treasuring the important things in life, the small family moments and milestones. This has been proven to have significant benefits for health and wellbeing.
This session will be different to Clare’s previous journaling workshop here, so ideal for those wanting a second fill, equally you don’t have to have done the first part to come along to this one …
Reportage Sketching – creating great sketchbook and journaling memories. The focus is on the everyday, the hustle and bustle we see all the time but don’t register. There are stories and images everywhere if we look for inspiration. The course shares ideas and exercises to capture and collect them. The aim to show that art is for everyone regardless of skill and to help you discover new ideas, techniques and artists.
Clare will share her journals and ideas for making your own with you. You absolutely don’t have to be able to draw to do this course just have an open mind to join in and share.
Clare trained as a textile artist specialising in figurative embroidery and successfully sold and exhibited her work. She has also had a career setting up exhibitions and workshops and more recently play based activities within local communities.
