About The Workshop:
In collaboration with The Gallery in Barton-upon-Humber an introduction on how to give your furniture that ‘je ne sais quoi’ with the wonderful range of vintage chalk paints from Grand Illusions.
We provide all paints, materials and equipment, including wooden boards to practice on and a tray which you will create during the course to take home and keep. Aprons are provided but we recommend you wear clothes you won’t mind getting a bit of paint on. We also provide a written guide so you don’t need to spend time making notes.
What makes Grand Illusions Vintage Chalk Paint so special?
Grand Illusions have lovingly recreated the buttermilk paint popular in the 18th and 19th century. The range is water-based and coloured with natural earth pigments, with a high chalk content (45%), so it’s wonderfully smooth, easy to use and is very breathable, making it perfect not only for furniture, but for interior walls & floors.
10% discount voucher to spend on paint products at The Gallery.
A little bit about the tutor Angela … Angela is a certified Grand Illusions Vintage Paint Workshop Instructor sharing her knowledge with you.
Following in the footsteps of her Gran as a self-taught artist, Angela’s work is mainly inspired by her love for Lowry’s paintings. She is passionate about drawing, and painting ‘Oh so cute Houses’, from beehives and chicken coops to hot air balloons and campers, the list is endless,
Angela enjoys using watercolour, and acrylic paints, and love’s to create her own little worlds on paper, canvas, greeting cards, plaques, pots and, well, anything else that can be painted!
