This cafe is simply outstanding. The quality and variety of food available is truly amazing, varying from breakfast to full healthy and freshly cooked meals. The cakes are something to behold and the staff polite, courteous and welcoming. i cannot rate this establishment highly enough.

The bacon baguette was perfect, warm and delicious.
Would I return – yes definitely, it compares very well to some other local highly rated cafes.

My sister and brother in law came to see me as I am going through a ‘torrid time’ at the moment. I reserved a table, for lunch and the experience was wonderful. The service was superb, the food wonderful and they said that they would be returning as they had so enjoyed the ambience and the whole experience. What a delight to be served by staff with a smile and a friendly disposition, a real tonic when life is pretty awful. The Steel Rooms is such an asset to Brigg and I cannot commend it enough.

The idea of combining a gift shop/gallery with a coffee/lunch spot is achieve with great aplomb at the Steel Rooms. Excellent snacks served by attentive staff make this place to visit in Brigg

Very gluten free friendly
A friend & I rushed in at 4.30pm after a challenging day, but the staff were still very accommodating. We had tea and gluten free Pear & Almond tart- delicious! A look at the menu and a chat with the staff suggests this could be gluten free heaven; there was lots of choice. I’ll be back but I’ll try and be earlier next time!!!

Wholesome, hearty home-made food

We have visited the steel rooms several times for lunch when visiting family. The food is always really tasty & the service is fast & friendly.

We visited the Steel Rooms for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. The cafe is warm and welcoming. The range of food on offer is very good. We chose to have baguettes served with a side salad which were exceptionally fresh and very tasty. Coffees were very good and Service is definitely with a smile. We will certainly be calling again.

The Steel Rooms never fail to serve me with truly delicious espresso coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed but with a buzz and the WiFi facility is great. It is a must when I am in Brigg. A real asset to the town.

Artisan shopping with a great relaxing cafe and fab gift shop/gallery

Just paid another visit to the Steel Rooms. I love the range of things for sale in the shop, greetings cards, soaps, old fashioned toys and items that you would not usually see unless you went on-line…Nice staff, relaxed surroundings which add up to a pleasant experience.

Check out the gallery upstairs too which showcases local artists.

Walking through to the cafe you go through a great little array of artisan gifts. I purchased a great little gift of macaroons in a lovely presentation box .

If you are looking for the quirky and different then this place is for you.
