Monthly Look Back

Well we’re in our final weekend of June so I thought now was the perfect time to have a look back at some of the things that went on this month and some of my favourites to report on.

As you know we had a rather large delivery this month and needless to say for me, some things were purchased including this pretty great magazine rack. Have I placed all my magazines chronologically? Yes, of course! This rack is great because it holds a massive weight which works well for all my food magazines! I also managed to buy these divine glasses. I keep speaking about these but I love them so much. Also hold a sizable amount so you still look classy whilst devouring at least half a bottle of wine in one sitting.

Again, there are loads of things to buy for yourself or as presents and if you’ve got a special occasion coming up you’ll find brilliant gifts. Father’s Day especially was great and lots of things were bought which I’m sure brought a smile to all our daddy’s out there.

Best seller in the shop has to go to all our soaps. There are so many to choose from so you’re bound to find the ideal scent for you and they’re brilliant value for money. Another thing which everyone seems to be picking up are these brilliant wraps. In all sorts of varieties from a world map, to the periodic table, to bees there is something you won’t be able to resist. The perfect present and they look fantastic framed.

There have also been lots of new cakes coming along. By far our little hidden gems are Evie and her incredible tasting cakes, I’m sure you’ll agree if you’ve had a taste of her Guinness cake, and Anna who has proved herself to be chief scone maker. Obviously my gluten free salted caramel brownies are always there but they’re just too good to not bake… forever the modest one eh?

Finally, let’s talk about the Music Night. Another brilliant turnout and although it poured it down with rain towards the end it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Everyone was on top form. Lots of laughter, catching up, great singing, lively music and good eating was had. They’re quickly becoming the highlight people’s months and I would hugely recommend booking your ticket in advance so you don’t miss out. Next month’s is a jazz band which is sure to be amazing. I cannot wait!

Let’s also be very grateful for all that sunshine we’ve had over this month. Sure, it’s hardly been club tropicana but we’ve been enjoying the spells of rays. Keep popping in to see all our specials throughout the coming months and to also spot some new stock which will be coming in too.
