It’s the time of year to dig deep and give your support to those most in need throughout the UK and Africa – yep, Friday 15th March brings Red Nose Day to life!
Philanthropy, creativity and fun go hand in hand (and in hand) and it is in this spirit that the team at Byrom & Steel have put their heads together to come up with a way to include all three!
Design Your Own Red Nose Day T-Shirt Competition!
This one’s for the kids! It’s time to unleash the creativity in your young ones, and all for a fantastic cause. To enter, children should collect a copy of our printed t-shirt (either from the shop, cafe or you can download it by clicking here), and go nuts! Designs can be created using any materials but must be on the original paper and each entry will cost 25p, to be paid when you deliver your finished masterpiece to Byrom & Steel! We will announce three winners on Sunday 17th March across different age groups, as follows:
- Ages 2-5
- Ages 6-9
- Ages 10-14
And what’s the prize? The winner of each age group will receive a personal creative art session with our wonderful resident artist Marianna and her able assistant Emma! A fabulous opportunity to learn from two very talented artists.
Let Them Eat Cake!
Most of us struggle to get through the day without a good dose of one of Debi’s fabulous cakes, and she’s so lovely that she has decided to bake a whole one and give it to one lucky winner! You won’t even have to share!
To be the lucky winner, you simply need to guess the weight of the cake. That’s it. Simples!
This home baked beauty will be available to peek at from Thursday morning in the cafe and entries will cost 50p per person – we will also post a photo of the cake on the blog and to our Facebook and Twitter pages for those of you who wish to join in remotely! To join in online, you can pay the entry fee by making a donation to our fundraising page which can be accessed by clicking here.
Let the longing glances begin!
The Byrom & Steel Team Dress Up!
To encourage our lovely customers to dig deep, our staff will be dressing up in red nose t-shirts designed by our very own ‘Queen of Everything’ Charlotte and will be wearing other crazy paraphernalia – if that’s not a reason to stop by and have a good old laugh we don’t know what is!
Ooh, Aah, Just a Little Bit…
Those pesky pennies have been burning holes in pockets for far too long, so let us help you refresh your pockets by placing donation boxes around the building for you to casually drop them in!
We hope as many of you as possible will come along and join in the fun, perhaps even some of you will join in the fancy dress…cameras at the ready!
