Amateur Photography Competition
Yellow everybody! Fancy a competition? Oh, alright then! In keeping with our aim to encourage creativity, we’re offering all you budding photographers a chance to share your best image and be in with a chance of winning a place on our Photography for Beginners workshop, taught by none other than our very own Ally Byrom, award winning and published photographer.
The competition theme is ‘Yellow’. Interpret it as you will.
If you’re wondering why we’ve chosen such a broad theme, it’s because we’re looking for more than a technically proficient photograph. Whilst technical ability plays a huge role in photography, of equal importance is the ability to be creative with your subjects and surroundings.
What we’re hoping to see in your images are your personal interpretations of the theme, your technical skill, your creativity, your inspiration and your personal style of photography.
We will be awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze certificates to the top three entries, with the runners-up receiving vouchers towards our Photography for Beginners workshop. The winning image will be featured on our website and social media pages as well for everyone to see!
Entrants may submit one image for consideration and it must be submitted to Byrom & Steel before 5pm on Sunday 31st March 2013.
Both digital and print entries will be accepted into the competition.
The winner will be announced on Sunday 7th April via Facebook, so if you haven’t already, go and ‘like’ our page and get involved!
To enter, please read and accept the terms and conditions below – digital entries should be e-mailed to Lou at email@example.com and print entries should be posted or hand delivered to Louise Le Page, Byrom & Steel, 1-5 Springs Parade, Brigg, North Lincolnshire, DN20 8EQ.
